This splendid and incredible Gargano valley, located in the territory of San Giovanni Rotondo, takes its name from size of its many rooms which make it similar to a large home with many rooms. This beautiful underground complex, arranged on several levels, is what remains of a cavity that was once much larger, reduced by the evolutionary retreat of the valley. From a first cave you descend into a small corridor which leads to a shelter. At the bottom you gain access to a narrow passage that emerges into a vast room, from which continuing you reach a large entrance that dominates a vertical wall. The route alternates very rough and risky sections with others that are easier and easier to navigate, all of it meandering through caves of various sizes nestled into each other, without ever losing sight of the vastness of the surrounding valley.
