A few meters west of the historic center, along via Pirgiano, is located the Wax Museum.
The story of San Pio da Pietrelcina unfolds in the rooms of Palazzo Morcaldi through faithful reconstructions of the salient moments of an exemplary existence.
Visitors can ideally retrace the life and works of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina by admiring the scenographic reconstructions and the wax statues that portray the Saint in the most significant moments of his existence: 10 life scenes with life-size sculptures, work by Cristian Biasci. Among the scenes narrated in the Museum, of great impact are "The death of Padre Pio","The Stigmata","Meeting with Fra Camillo"and "Wojtyla's visit”. Part of the displays were created in Pisa and another part in the museum, completed in 2001.
Via Pirgiano joins C.so Regina Margherita, parallel to C.so Umberto I°; from here, towards the west, you return to the starting point (Piazza Europa – Largo 28 Luglio)
